fun in small amounts

I've really enjoyed vacation which is the reason why i haven't even touched a computer for days... Well that's a lie because i think people would consider tablets as computers and i've been playing a lot of games... and about tablets...... I'm now an owner of an IPad mini....

"so where's the !!!!!! ?" you might say.

I've never been too found of Apple products and I've never used money to buy one. What i have, are gifts from my family so i don't complain and still I am very thankful ^^.

So heres a picture of my iPad taken with my IPhone taken with my IPad taken with my IPhone...

I'm a true 9gagger .... Which sound awkwardly disgusting#T#€Y€!!!!

Yes it's in freaking white... and I prefer black .... oh mother you know me so well..

I have no life

Right now i'm in Copenhagen for the easter holiday and if you're a danish citizen you would know about the school crisis. Due some disagreements between the union of public school teachers and the union of municipalities there's a lockout going on. It means that only some students can go to school while others can't. Sadly both Julie's and Dennis' class have been affected by this and therefore they don't have any classes. The press believes that the lockout only will last for a week while others thinks the government has to interfere. How this affects me is that... I have less free time than i used to have... Well i don't have any anyway, so this doesn't change anything.... beside, i'll have to homeschool if the lockout will last long... ARGH.....

So... I'm just trying to get the most out of the holiday. I've had a lot of fun here in Copenhagen and the weather has been amazing compared to Odense... My mom called me this morning and told me it snowed, so i shouldn't have any reason to go home... And yet i feel bad, because it's her birthday tomorrow... after i insured her that i was fine, Julie and Dennis had eaten and that they were entertained, i tried my best to lure her to tell me what she wanted... and as any other asian mother ... or just women in general... she tried to hint me her birthday wish......, which i did not catch so now i'm just desperately looking something up on the internet for her....   ARGH another problem...

My niece Catly is in Nederland with her mother but she'll be back tomorrow and my swedish cousins will be here either tomorrow or friday, which means i have somebody to accompany my "tweenage" little sister and my hyperactive little brother.  That means that i finally get to do my homework !!! HEUREKA!! screamed the little asian girl when she spilled hot tea on her lap .... Hot licorice root tea... Ouch** ...

I've been here since saturday and i don't actually recall all what i've done over here so far...  I usually write it all up when i have been away from the blog for such a long time.. But this time i don't remember which day i did what ...
Well... I had sushi the other night that my bf's brother made and we watched a danish gameshow... I went out to bowl yesterday and finished as the fourth  - behind my bf, Dennis and julie... my little cousin, Tu Quyen, ended on the fifth place... Well i better have to explain who is who.
BLE = Blemanden = diperman = Dennis
TO = Tornerose = Sleeping Beauty = Tu Quyen
SE = Sexy mama = explains itself = Julie
JA = Jack Sparrow = That's me ... Emtie
PI = Pivskid = is translated to "whistling shit" = BF

And since i can't come to think of anything to blog about right now - here's some pictures...

Dining at Wgamama

My lovely aunt. I did her makeup and she's just doing what she's best at - smiling.

And because of request: Here's my first OOTD ..
- more OOTY ("outfit of the yesterday")

And my little sister's

She's unintentionally a better poser ^^

Well i have to get going now... i have an assignment or five to finish...-.-

- and about the same amount of church visits. Oh yes, easter is the busiest time of a year when you're catholic...

So where's the easter bunny?

I'm really sleepy but i just wanted to make an update before burying my body underneath my blanket of sleep. I apologize on beforehand if the text is lacking coherence or if there are many spellings errors - I'm soo sleepy right now!!!!

The last week has been tough on me. I've been stressed out with homework more than usual and that might be because it was the week before easter - which means that i now have Easter holiday !! Yaaay! - not really since i have 5 assignments i have to submit right when the holiday ends.
It's the end of the month and just like anybody else i'm short in cash.... but my closet is a dress richer.
I've bought a  Margit Brandt dress in grey and the fabric is light - i'm saving this for summer... if we ever get that in Denmark... Right now there's a snowstorm ... yes. a snowstorm in the end of March...
Oh well... I have this dress:

So was that all ? Nah-ah!

I've bought two simple lunch boxes from ikea... which is something that my mother should buy .. not me...
two pair of tights - i'm going to return one of them...
I've bough 2 pair of pants and two scarfs.
Nothing special really, because otherwise there would be pictures of it... maybe i'll post it on my Instagram... someday... how about no..

In gym class i had to take a running test and i did okay, but yet i disappointed myself, because i knew i could do better... so afterwards i punished myself by running on the treadmill until i got blisters ... the hell -.-

Since it's easter i've cut so many "gækkebreve", that i could give every single teacher i had and all he office ladies in my school one. Gækkebreve is paper cut in patterns and with motives - usually easter motives and they're sent to others with a small hint to others to guess who sent the letter. if the person guess who has made it,  the cutter has to give the receiver an" easter-egg" which is an egg-shaped chocolate. If the guess is wrong the cutter gets an egg.

Once i showed you guys my wall with some of my favorite "gækkebrever", and this time i haven't even saved one for myself, so maybe i'll make some new for my wall. I've actually cut to many the past day that my index finger and my thumb have been paralyzed the most of the day...

anything else i want to share?

Here's my dinner!:

Here's my face:

Good night !

What's up emtie ?

There are so many thing going on right now that i even have to do a handstand in order to focus on my thoughts - but i can't even do a handstand so whats the use?! ARGH ! See?!
I have a lot i have to take care of at the moment, and nothing has happened in particular the past week, so there's nothing much to make an update on..... oh ! Almost forgot that i've  bought some few things the last couple of days that i want to post on the blog, but it ain't going to be right now!! :b

It's prom season and every girl in my class are rushing out every weekends to find the dress and their desires. I'm glad i only have to think about which kind of shoes i want to wear, because i already found the dress. It's bought from Vietnam and it is made by a tailor so it is customized to fit me ^^. But since i don't have to think about that, i still wanted to try to find a prom dress myself and so i went out to look for one. I found a beautiful gown in fuchsia from Marlene Birger and it's really long !!! and the fabric is soooo smooth!! The best about this dress is the draping on the back and the long, beautiful sleeve.  I did not buy it ... because why should i? The dress was just fine, quite simple actually but super expensive... even still after 30% promotion... -.-

OHHH! BTW. I just received a package i want to include in my next post. Well i think it's going to be a Mid-March haul - because i have bought a lot the past weeks.... eheheh....^^

days like others

Just two weeks ago i was still in Vietnam and now it all feels so distant - all the good times and all the good food are now just pictures on my iphone and i don't want to see them again, because the pictures i have in my head are even better and i don't like them to be ruined.

I have a lot to catch up with when it comes to school but i can manage it. Today was a day off and I wanted to do some reading for tomorrow's test and from the break of dawn till now i haven't even finished a page. Sometimes i regret staying home when i have a day off from school. My parents see "a day off" as a "day to do chores", so instead of reading and prepare myself for tomorrow i've vacuum the car, took it for a carwash, went out to get groceries, took Dennis to the dentist and because i was out of time i did not go to the bank before they closed. I've cooked dinner and i've cleaned my room.
As my friend says: "suddenly everything else becomes more interesting when we have to study", and I agree, because otherwise why would i even be on the blog tonight? Hahah. I'm not ranting on my parents. We're all busy with our own projects these days and I pity Juliet and Dennis for being the victim for our reckless rush. I took them out for a movie and dinner at Jensens Bøfhus last week and today I spend my time with them watching a movie I have to watch again another time because of distraction. My mind is somewhere else and where is it ? It's not in Vietnam, not Copenhagen, not at home and nowhere to be found.

Totally lame achievement for this week: Finished watching Faith - a  24 ep. korean drama series from 2012 starring Kim Hee Sun and Lee Min Ho. It's really good ! Totally recommend it ! It's about a plastic surgeon that gets kidnapped by a soldier to another time dimension - 600 years before hers.

Guess who's my new hair idol ?

Another achievement is that I got 85% off on a spring-jacket! I'll show you when I get it ^^

It's no secret that i love k-pop and have been listing to it for a long time now. like since... 2006 or something? It was when Bi rain was the hottest "-__-"-eyed singer ever ! hhahaha !
Sometimes when i listen to a song on the radio i think it sounds like Chinese (no offense, but i it's a habit saying that something is in Chinese if i don't understand it - it could be greek as well :b). Well here's some songs that i have been played on repeat in my head and no! it's not only korean (almost)!:

SHINee's outfit in the Dream Girl MV reminds me  .... of my own closet .. because i have flower pants.. a checked blazer, a spotted shirt, pink hipsters and a fancy floor mob ...

The last one is not because of the song but moreover the video because i love that big fluffy blue bear's evil look, dance and the clothes are hilariously cute. Reminds me of Big Bang and I love Lee Hi's outfits and her looks in this MV.

The only one I do like listening to on the radio is Scream And Shout by Britney and Will.i.am and that's because of i keep having the wrong picture in my head when i hear it and that is thanks to 9gag.com. hahahah got to love people on 9gag.

*** Note: I've got myself an Ipad mini and it tends to delete some words from my posts, so i apologize if theres a lack of coherence here and there.

you won't meet him twice

If you guys have noticed the petite feller, SuiNho i have posted so many pictures of in my post about Vietnam, he's my so called "nephew" (vietnamese relations are hard to figure out). He's about 1.5 years old and he's really small, but has the cutest smile and biggest eyes.

...and yesterday he lost his father because of a heart attack.

My father called me down yesterday to tell me what had happended and asked me if i ever got to talk to him, because my dad didn't.  When i was in Vietnam i had many fun times with SuiNho's father because compared to many other, he was quite young for being a farther - he was only 23.  THe reason why i don't know his name is because he told me to call him "em" which here means younger brother. It actually scares me that a person i was with for more than a week, just passed away - without telling me his name. He was easy to talk to and so was his wife, em Huong. At the Tet-dinners they would always sit next to me, because i was closer to their age and also because even though they belonged to the group of adults, they still were too young to participate in their discussions. We had similar interest and we had many funny moments. It worries me that SuiNho lost his father so early.  They were still so young and had so many years before them so it hurts me to see a family to be in such a awful situation - a wife losing her husband and a child losing his father.. I've send my condolences to em Huong and my other relatives in Vietnam for their loss.

For me it just seems so unreal that he's gone. like it was some made-up-news Casper Christensen (danish comedian) could come up with. My holiday in Vietnam seemed unreal when i came home again - like a dream that i just woke up from but this one isn't. I'm happy that i got to know such a fine person. A person that would hold his child in his arms until he slept, just so his wife wouldn't get her back hurt, but I'm sad that such a thing could destroy the happiness for such a lovely family.  At these times i really feel that life isn't fair.

I can't imagine how it would be to lose the love of your life.

I'm home again ...

and it feels weird...
If you didn't know i went to Vietnam for nearly a month and I just came back wednesday afternoon. I had a great time well spend in the sun and got to go to many different places everyday. I visited my mothers hometown Bien Hoa, and met some old friends i stayed at the last time i was in Vietnam (back in summer 2008). Mainly all of my mothers friends have children around my age and Julie's too, so it was not difficult to find us some "playmates". The same goes to my father, so whenever we went out to visit someone, we kids never felt bored or anything because there would always be someone around our age to talk to.

I stayed at my father's family's house in Go Vap - about 10 km from Saigon. My father's cousin takes care of the place when no one is using the house for vacation and therefore i always thought he was the "caretaker"... embarrassingly i had to realize he was my uncle and not the housekeeper...
I've always thought my fathers family was the simple one where i could count every head and know who was related to who in which way and  that my mother's would be the messy one. I was so wrong. The first few days i met many came to our house to give us their greetings and everyone that came was a family member... My grandfather (father's father) has three younger siblings - only one of them alive, but they all have kids. My deceased grandmother(father's mother) had two younger sisters - only one of them alive but they also had many kids. That also results in many grand children and since it's common in vietnam to start a family early, i had a bunch of problems with formalities. Usually we call an older person for either em (younger sister/brother), anh(older brother), chi(older sister), thim/co(aunt), cau/chu(uncle) etc. but because of the ranking - like my grandfather is the oldest - many over 20 became  my em... It's difficult to call a 30 year old person for your "em" when you always have in mind that they are older than you.... Okay that part might be a little bit complicated to understand if you aren't asian ^^.
Well ... Tet(chinese/vietnamese new year) was around the middle of february and we celebrated it for three days! One day we would eat at one of my many uncle's house and the next day we would eat at another. After the second dinner, my family decided to go to Saigon to watch the fireworks. The streets were packed and the traffic jam was unbelievable because people parked their scooters on the road and blocked the way. We stood of the taxi and walked downtown to find a spot were we could watch the whole show. It was quite beautiful, but i did not get to see everything because two tall buildings were in the way... -.-
The third day of Tet we ate at our place and we finished the dinner quite fast, because as a surprise, some of my uncle had booked two mini busses that would take us to "que"(my father's childhood home) in Rach Gia. We were there for about two days and stopped by Ha Tien (a beach) on the way back to Saigon.

When you're on the move you really loose your track of days and because i rarely was at home i don't remember which day i did what and went where. I don't remember when but i went to Nha Trang for 3 days and i loved it! Saigon is like a hot oven next to chilly Nha Trang. While my parents went to go sightseeing, Julie, Dennis, my uncle, cousin Lam and I went to Vinpearl Land - an amusement park located on an island. We had so much fun there, even though the line for everything was so damn long.
On the way back to Saigon we stopped by Dalat - a city located on the top of a mountain. I've been there before and i remember oh too well how sick i got from going there. I'm usually not carsick but i die every time we drive in the mountains. It was so bad that i still was sick a week from there and even now i haven't fully recovered yet. It's both because of the rough trip but also because of the sudden change in temperature. In Dalat the temperature is about the same as an average spring day in Denmark and in Saigon it about 27-32 degrees which is a big difference. My body can't take it and therefore i've been sick for such a long time.

Anything else I want to tell about ?...

OH ! About 8-9 years ago i met a boy HD. He's the son of my aunt friend and you can almost say that every forth year i've met him. He at my age and he now lives in Seoul where he studies. He came back to Vietnam the same day as i had to go home, so we agreed to meet. He came back to vietnam 2 o'clock and i had to be at the airport by 6.  He picked me up at my place around 3 and we went out to find a taxi. For the first time i carried a purse, because i wore a dress with no pockets and needed something that could carry my hair-clips and eyeliner. It was quite stupid of me to do so, because there are so many thieves in vietnam. I just waked from my house to a taxi-stop which is less than a 10 min walk and when i reached to the taxi, a guy hit me with his scooter. Luckily he wasn't driving that fast, so i got to move away a bit, but he still managed to steer his handles into my stomach. I held my purse tightly enough so the thief did not get away with it. HD dragged me on the other side of the street and i got pushed in to the cab. Poor guy! He was even more shocked than me by the event that he was quiet all the way to the mall ...
We went to Parkson, a mall just next to the airport and got ourselves some smoothies and cake. We had a nice chat and decided to watch a movie. The only movie that finished just in time before i had to be at the airport was a Chinese movie with vietnamese subtitles and i can't read vietnamese... We decided to take a stroll and he bought me a Chubbystick from Clinique as a gift ^^.

At the airport we met one of my mothers friend that worked in the airport. He helped us though the security so we got through a little bit faster. The plane was a big one with the small tv screens so i watched some movies. I watched "The Watch" with Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn, and noticed it was censored in the most ridiculous way. Every time Vince would say something bad they replaced the bad word with something else but with another persons voice... "Di**" became to "stick"...and the voice sounded like Homer Simpsons...
After landing in Dubai we got through the first security check before Julie decided to have a severe stomach ache and pass out on the floor. We called the security for help and they called the rescuers who bought Julie to the doctors. I had to go with them because i was the only one that understood english. There wasn't anything serious with Julie. She was just exhausted and had diarrhea symptoms resulting in stomach cramps. She got some medicine and she got dismissed and that was when we realized that she wasn't wearing shoes... Somehow my mother managed to take of her shoes while she was lying down, so she had to walk through the airport, go on the metro to the next gate without any footwear and of course people looked - she was wearing orange socks... XD

After waiting for 6 hours we finally got on the plane... only to wait two more hours because of a thick fog prevented us from departing... When we finally came back to Denmark, my uncle came to pick us up and we ate lunch at his place before heading home to Odense. We came home around 8 and it was just as cold outside as it was inside. We turned the heat on in every single room and the toilet was so cold i had to use the blowdryer to warm up the toilet seat before daring to sit on it... ......... Well all of our fish are dead too..  and that's because of the cold...

I still actually have jetlag. Yesterday everyone in the house was awake by 4 and the time difference between Denmark and Vietnam is 6 hours plus so i would be like waking up at 10. Today i woke up at 4 again.. only to roll over and sleep to 8 .. School started again and it's difficult to keep up, when your mind is somewhere else.
Well i have to get going - I still have some stuff to pack out and i have to clean my room too.

Here's some pictures
